Hearings
of Murat's wife used up all of
Thursday's work time.
The chief inspector who is going to be
responsible for the investigation into
the disappearance of Madeleine McCann in
2007 arrived this Thursday at the
Polícia Judiciaria's building in Faro,
at a time when questioning of the
witnesses has been extended until
Friday.
The inspector who takes over the new job
on the 22nd of December,
Nicola Wall from the Metropolitan
Police Service, arrived at the PJ in
Faro at 09h25, sided by chief inspector
Andy redwood who has been
responsible for the British
investigation over the last three and a
half years and leaves the investigation
due to his retirement. None of the
inspectors made any comment to the
journalists.
The questioning in the Algarve of 10 of
the 11 witnesses that have been summoned
by the British investigators started on
Tuesday and were supposed to end this
Thursday, but the hearing of the wife of
Murat, a man who has been pointed
out several times as possibly being
involved in the little girl's
disappearance, took up all of the work
time on Wednesday.

Therefore the questioning of Robert
Murat was scheduled for Friday.
The investigation focuses on the
disappearance of Madeleine McCann on the
3rd of May of 2007 when she was sleeping
with her younger siblings in a bedroom
in an apartment at a tourist resort in
Praia da Luz, Algarve. |
