KATE and
Gerry McCann
were today marking the
fourth anniversary
of their daughter
Madeleine's
disappearance.
It
comes as Mrs McCann, 43, prepares to publish her account of how the
three- year-old vanished on a family holiday to Portugal in 2007.
Proceeds from the book, titled Madeleine, will boost the couple's
dwindling fund to continue the search for their missing daughter.
Harry Potter author JK Rowling is said to have given the McCanns
guidance over the publication of the book, which goes on sale in the UK
on May 12 ' Madeleine's eighth birthday.
The McCanns, from Rothley, Leics, plan to spend the anniversary today
privately 'with family and friends'. But in a message to supporters on
the Find Madeleine website last night, Mrs McCann wrote: 'Four years may
have passed but our little girl is still missing. And, she is still
findable. Your continued kindness and backing could help us achieve
this.'
The 384-page book, priced '20, is expected to become an international
best-seller |
