The McCann couple guarantees that the
allegations about their involvement in the disappearance of their
daughter Madeleine are “unfounded”.
The allegations consist of a confidential diplomatic telegram, released
this week by the WikiLeaks site.
In the document, which dates back to 2007, the English Ambassador in
Lisbon admits that it was the British police who found evidence against
Kate and Gerry McCann.
The couple laments that this revelation has led to “the repetition of
many unfounded allegations”, in the UK as well as in Portugal and also
says that it has made the efforts to find Madeleine difficult.
Until now, the British police has not commented on the case. |
