"Maddie" launched in May by Leonardo Ralha
The book
"Madeleine" written by
Gerry and Kate McCann, parents of the
British child who's disappeared in 2007 from a resort in the Algarve, is
going to be launched in Portugal by ASA Editions, in May, 4 years since
the night Maddie would have been seen for the last time.
The book launch by Asa Editions, of Leya Group, will be attended by the
couple, that during the
investigation of the case faced
accusations of knowing much more about Madeleine's fate than they would
let know. Madeleine was 3 years old when she came with her parents and
her younger siblings to spend holidays in Luz Village.
"Madeleine" is being presented as Gerry and Kate McCann's account of the
days before the disappearance of their oldest child and the efforts to
find her. The income from the book sales will go to the
Fund that has financed the initiatives, until now fruitless- to find the
child or clarify about her fate.
The English version shall be launched on the 28th April-though the
ephemerid is to be marked on the 3 of May- and it was explained by Kate
McCann as " an account of the truth". " To publish the book it was a
very difficult decision, taken after great consideration and with a very
heavy heart" she said in November, pointing out that the lack of money
in the Fund set up in her daughter's name, was one of the reasons for
them to accept the publisher's challenge. |
