New photo

The last known photograph of Madeleine McCann has been released exactly three
weeks after she was snatched from her apartment in Portugal.
Madeleine is shown smiling and dangling her feet into a swimming pool, less
than eight hours before she was abducted from her bed as her parents Kate and

The picture of Madeleine, who is wearing a pink smock top, white shorts and a
sun hat, was taken by 38-year-old Kate on her own camera.

later in a bid to raise their daughter's profile across Europe
and beyond. Meanwhile, 115 million web users have visited the Madeleine
campaign site.

investigation has been conducted.

in the hunt for Madeleine said the area where she disappeared was "without

He said the investigation had been hampered by the police's failure to "do
